Russia has attacked an oil refinery in the Poltava region in Ukraine, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry writes on the messaging service Telegram that the refinery, which is located in the city of Krementjug, supplies Ukrainian forces in Donbas with fuel.
The attack, which took place during the night towards Sunday, is reported to have been carried out with long-range weapons.
Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes on the platform X that the night "turned into a night of terror for Krementjug in the Poltava region, after Russia carried out a large-scale attack with drones and missiles”.
In the same post, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the attack was directed against energy and agricultural infrastructure, causing damage to vehicles and residential buildings, but no people were injured.
