The Russian hypersonic missile Oreshnik, which has the capacity to carry nuclear weapons, has been stationed in Belarus for several months.

During this exercise, the plan is to practice issues related to the delivery of nuclear weapons and preparations for their use, in cooperation with the Russian side, the Belarusian Defense Ministry announced on Monday.

The exercise is not aimed at other countries, the Ministry of Defense said. Air and missile forces are participating in the exercise.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered reinforcements on the northern border with Belarus and said Moscow was preparing a new offensive from there.
