The Russian hypersonic missile Oreshnik, which is capable of carrying nuclear weapons, has been deployed in Belarus for several months.
During this exercise, we plan to practice matters related to the delivery of nuclear weapons and preparations for their use in cooperation with the Russian side, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
The exercise is not aimed at other countries, the Ministry of Defense says. Air and missile forces are participating in the exercise.
Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered reinforcements to the northern border with Belarus, claiming that Moscow was preparing a new offensive from there.
