Six Atacms-type robots have been used when Ukraine attempted to hit the military airfield in the port city of Taganrog, located in the southern Rostov region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to reports, all robots were either shot down or deflected, but shrapnel is said to have caused some damage to military vehicles and buildings in the vicinity. No one is reported to have been injured.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj has previously praised "significant blows" against Russian targets last night, and wrote on the messaging app Telegram that Ukraine had hit military facilities on Russian territory.
Russia's President Vladimir Putin has previously threatened to launch a hypersonic robot against central Kyiv if Ukraine does not stop its attacks with Atacms robots against Russian territory.
An American official claims that Russia may launch an Oresjnik robot, a hypersonic robot of the same type as the one launched in a notable attack on the major city of Dnipro recently, in the "coming days".
