The race, on the streets around Marina Bay, was not particularly exciting as George Russell, who started in pole position, won the evening race ahead of Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who started as second in qualifying.
It feels incredible, especially after what happened a few years ago. This made up for it, said Russell who in 2023 crashed on the last lap when he was on his way to a top position in Singapore.
Perhaps the most exciting thing was World Championship leader Oscar Piastri's complaint that his teammate in McLaren, Lando Norris, pushed past him at the start so tightly that the cars touched each other.
Are we okay with Lando pushing me out? It's not fair, he said.
The team replied that they would discuss it after the race.
Norris came third and Piastri fourth and the team thus secured the constructors' championship for the second year in a row.
Piastri is still leading the World Championship with Norris in second place and Verstappen as third. Russell moved up to fourth place.
