According to the organization behind Stockholm Marathon, four runners were taken to hospital during Saturday's race, although none of them were in critical condition.
It has been surprisingly calm, says press chief Lorenzo Nesi.
Around 18,800 of the 19,431 runners who started the race also reached the finish line.
According to Lorenzo Nesi, the overwhelming majority of participants who had contact with the race's medical organization did so due to exhaustion and dehydration.
No heart stops or other very serious medical incidents have thus been noted. During the afternoon, it was reported that a man had suffered a heart stop, but that information was later withdrawn by the press chief.
