One cardiac arrest occurred approximately 800 meters from the finish line at Villa Belparc, writes Göteborgs-Posten. The man was discovered immediately and received care fairly promptly.

The person was conscious when he was sent to Sahlgrenska by ambulance, says Göteborgsvarvets doctor Per Eriksson to the newspaper.

Two more people suffered cardiac arrests during the race, reports Eriksson. They were taken care of by healthcare personnel and were conscious when they were taken to Sahlgrenska by ambulance.

According to the hospital, the condition of all three runners was stable on Saturday evening.

We have also had an additional 20-30 runners who have been treated at the hospital, the most common reasons being runner's collapse or cramps. About 60 have been treated by ambulance care, says Jörgen Ölund, press duty at Sahlgrenska, to GP.
