During his visit to Helsingborg, Rubio will meet Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, among others.
It was previously unclear whether Rubio would attend the meeting. Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) declined to comment on Monday.
Malmer Stenergard will meet Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, among others.
The foreign ministers' meeting - which costs SEK 85 million to arrange - is seen as an important part of the preparations for the main NATO summit in the Turkish capital Ankara in July, when heads of state and government will meet.
After his visit to Sweden, Rubio will travel on to India.
