Rubio says peace talks in Ukraine are deadlocked

The situation is deadlocked over peace talks in Ukraine, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. If conditions change, we are ready to try again, Rubio said at a press conference after the NATO foreign ministers' meeting in Helsingborg.

Rubio responded to a question from TT about whether it should be seen as a sign that the peace talks the US has held with Russia and Ukraine have stalled. He said he does not see any conditions for meaningful discussions now.

But Rubio hopes that this can change, and if so, President Donald Trump is ready to get the US involved.

The war can only be ended through a negotiated agreement, not through a victory for one side or the other, at least not in what is traditionally meant by victory.
