National team player Elin Rubensson, 31, is breaking her contract with Houston Dash after just nine months. This is announced by the American football club on its website.
"I want to thank the club, my teammates and the Dash fans for making me feel at home in Houston", says the midfield star to the website.
Rubensson moved to Houston from Damallsvenskan Häcken in March this year. The contract originally applied until 2025, according to Fotbollskanalen.
