The result compares with SEK 6.6 billion in the same quarter last year. Expectations were at SEK 5.2 billion, according to Bloomberg's compilation of forecasts.
The situation in the Middle East and geopolitical uncertainty continue to drive up energy prices and cause volatility, CEO Rasmus Errboe said in a statement.
"But it also means an opportunity for Europe to strengthen the competitiveness of companies through electrification and lower energy costs. An opportunity to increase the production of domestic, affordable and reliable energy," he says.
Turnover rose 21 percent year-on-year to DKK 20.6 billion.
Half an hour after the stock market opened, the stock fell 2 percent.
