The RSF has been in conflict with the Sudanese army since 2023, and recently captured al-Fashir, the strategically important capital of the state of North Darfur.
In connection with this, testimonies of abuse and war crimes came in. RSF now claims, according to media reports, that it has arrested people suspected of “crimes committed during the liberation” of the city.
Abu Lulu has been in the news for posting brutal and bloody videos on TikTok. In a clip verified by the AFP news agency, he is seen shooting unarmed men at close range.
He and the other detainees will now “face justice,” RSF reports. However, al-Fashir is still cut off from the outside world, so there is no information other than RSF’s own about what is happening there.
