The first Swedish-Norwegian police station has now been inaugurated.
On site were both Crown Princess Victoria and the Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon. The police station, at Morokulien between Swedish Eda and Norwegian Eidskog, is intended to strengthen cooperation against cross-border crime.
In Norway, the work to combat gang crime has become an important political issue – Sweden has during the recently concluded election campaign in Norway served as a deterrent example. At the same time, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has previously claimed that Swedish gangs are now found in all of the country's police districts.
