The medals, H.M. King's Medal and Litteris et Artibus, are awarded for "special merits as well as for meritorious work" and "for outstanding artistic contributions in music, scenic presentation and literature above all."
Anders Tegnell is awarded H.M. King's Medal in the 12th size in a high blue ribbon for "meritorious contributions as state epidemiologist in a difficult time." The same medal also gets historian Gunnar Wetterberg.
Marcus Wandt receives, together with opera chief Christina Björklund, a medal in the 8th size in the Serafimer Order's ribbon, while the founder of the dance band week Bertil Elfström is rewarded with the 5th size in a high blue ribbon.
The cultural medal Litteris et Artibus is awarded to Arja Saijonmaa, Kjell Bergqvist, Rebecka Hemse, Lasse Hallström and pianist and composer Jan Lundgren.
The medals are awarded at a ceremony on June 9.
