Artist Sissal, winner of the Danish Melodifestivalen 2025, makes her musical debut in the Roxette musical. In the musical, the audience will hear around 20 of the pop group's songs.
The musical has previously only been performed in Sweden. The Danish production, which is part of a longer tour around the country, will premiere on March 11, 2027, in Frederiksberg, outside Copenhagen.
"The success in Sweden has been an absolutely fantastic experience and it is a huge joy that Copenhagen will now be the very first stop on the show's international journey," says Per Gessle in a press release.
"Joyride" premiered in Malmö in 2024 and has since been performed in Stockholm. This fall, the musical returns to Malmö Opera, with a premiere on October 2.
