The company said the reasons were a continued weak market, lower prices, a weaker dollar and a maintenance stop at the Vallvik mill south of Söderhamn.
The result is significantly worse compared with the same period a year earlier, when there was a profit of SEK 10 million, which was positively affected by the sale of emission rights worth SEK 76 million.
A savings program that began in spring 2025 essentially had its full impact during the quarter, resulting in lower costs of approximately SEK 45 million on an annual basis.
The company's financial report for last year will be released on February 19.
