The work “Pindakaasvloer” (“peanut butter floor”) was first created in 1969 and in its current form consists of 40 buckets of peanut butter spread over a 25-square-metre hexagon to a thickness of 2 centimetres.

Schippers was known for absurd works that challenged the concept of art. Over the years, visitors have accidentally stepped on the sticky work, and in 1997 it was “vandalised” with slices of bread and chocolate sprinkles.
