Rosengård Suffers Fourth Straight Loss in 2-1 Defeat to AIK

Four straight losses and seven matches without a win in the women's top division. That is the result for the reigning champions Rosengård, after Sunday's loss to AIK. The Stockholm team's 17-year-old talent Nova Selin decided the match which ended 2–1.

The win is important, Rosengård is close to us in the table and it is very even in the middle of the table where we are, so it is a huge important win here on away ground, says the match hero Selin in Viaplay after the win.

It was Rosengård who took the lead in the match, through Aemu Oyama in the 41st minute, in an even first half.

In the second half, a newly invigorated AIK came out on Malmö IP and could turn the match around. The equalizer came via Adelisa Grabus on a penalty, after Haruna Tabata was brought down in the penalty area.

The decisive 2–1 goal came about a quarter of an hour later, when AIK's great talent Nova Selin was responsible for a lovely finish to score her second Damallsvenskan goal.

The previous match (when Selin scored a goal) ended 3–0, so then the goal was maybe not as important even though it is important. Now it was a 2–1 win with my and Adelisa's (Grabus) goal, so it is nice, says Selin.

Summer's big star acquisition for AIK, Linda Sembrandt, got a little more than 20 minutes of playing time.

Rosengård, who won the league gold last season with only one loss throughout the entire season, is in eleventh place in the table with 18 points. BP, which is in a qualifying spot, has 14 points with one match less played.

AIK, on the other hand, who qualified to stay in Damallsvenskan last season, is sixth in the table.
