Rosengård is in a poor position in the Swedish women's championship and is in the qualifying spot with 14 points from 17 matches.
Kjetselberg coached Rosengård to a dominant Swedish championship title in the 2024 season. The team won 25 of 26 matches and collected 75 points.
Last season - after major player turnover - was, however, a disappointment, and on September 9, 2025, news came that Joel Kjetselberg would be leaving.
He returned to the club last winter, but is now being dismissed again. Kjetselberg signed a one-year contract before the season.
The club also announced that Spaniard Fran Alonso will take over as coach. He was coach of Celtic's women's team from 2020 to 2023.
