“We just have to break down and come back,” Rosengård's Klara Svensson Senelius told Viaplay.
For a long time, it looked like Rosengård - champions as recently as 2024 - would take three vital points against bottom-placed Växjö.
In the 11th minute, Bryleeh Henry put Rosengård 1-0 up after a mistake by Växjö goalkeeper Maja Østergaard.
The lead held until the 88th minute, when Tilda Sandén equalised to make the final score 1-1.
With two matches left to play, Rosengård have 24 points and Växjö 19. IFK Norrköping, who have a match in hand, are in the relegation play-off place with 23 points.
Norrköping visit third-placed Malmö FF on Monday.
It is already clear that Uppsala will be relegated from the women's top flight. The club has also announced that it will shut down its elite operations after this season for financial reasons.
