In the 23rd minute, Viktor Gyökeres scored 1-0 for his Sporting Lissabon at home against Boavista.
It was the Swedish star's 18th league goal for the season, in a total of 15 played matches. Seen over the calendar year, it was goal number 61 for Gyökeres – a feat only seven other players have achieved throughout history.
The 26-year-old Viktor Gyökeres becomes the eighth and joins the celebrated company. The other seven are all top football stars: Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pelé, Zico, Romário, Gerd Müller and Robert Lewandowski.
Sporting Lissabon won Saturday's match 3-2.
As recently as Saturday, Gyökeres was named the Forward of the Year on the men's side. It was the second year in a row he was awarded the distinction.
"The competition is top-class. Alexander (Isak) is an incredibly good forward who performs in one of the world's best leagues. It's not easy and I'm glad I managed to win this prize again this year, it feels very good," said Gyökeres in connection with the award.
