Sally Rooney's support for Palestine Action, which according to British law supports terror, could, according to the author herself, lead to her books disappearing from bookstores in the UK, writes The Guardian.

A British court is currently reviewing the government's decision to label the activist group Palestine Action as a terrorist organization.

Best-selling Irish author Sally Rooney has publicly supported the group, explaining in her testimony that this could stop her ability to publish books in the UK.

"It is almost certain that I will no longer be able to publish or create new works in the UK while this ban remains in place," Rooney writes to the court.

“If Palestine Action is still banned when my next book is published, it will be available to readers all over the world and in dozens of languages, but not in the UK, because no one will be allowed to publish it (unless I am willing to give it away for free).”

Rooney also says the uncertainty could lead to her publisher being banned from paying royalties on her books, which could lead to her previous works being withdrawn from sale. She has previously cancelled a trip to the UK to accept an award for fear of arrest.
