The goal right now is to limit the fire's spread downward in the building. The roof will be allowed to burn off, says Mathias Häglund, command officer at the rescue service.
The alarm about the incident came in at 11 p.m. on Sunday evening. There are no reports of anyone being injured. The emergency services are working to stop the fire from spreading to other buildings.
The rescue leader has not issued a forecast. We will likely be there for a number of hours into the day, says Tommy Wållberg, command operator at the rescue service, just before 3 a.m.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into gross negligence endangering public safety.
