Ronaldo Urges Neymar's Return to Brazil Team for World Championship

Should Carlo Ancelotti give Neymar, 33, a chance in the Brazilian national team again? That's what Ronaldo, 49, thinks. We have no one like Neymar, says the legend who wants to see the striker in the World Championship.

Neymar is with his 79 goals in 128 international matches Brazil's top scorer of all time. But he has not played in the national team since October 2023, when he suffered a serious knee injury.

Lately, Neymar has got his career going again, after moving home to Brazil and the Sao Paulo club Santos.

Ancelotti has so far been unenthusiastic. The Italian has not selected Neymar for any of his first four international matches as national team manager.

This makes Ronaldo, who won two World Championship gold medals with Brazil and scored 62 goals in 99 international matches, react. He wants to see Neymar in the national team again, not least in the World Championship finals in North America this summer.

He is a decisive player for Brazil. The people hope 100 percent that he gets to go to the World Championship. If he is there, we will absolutely get a better result than if he is not there, says Ronaldo according to the news agency AFP.

Carlo Ancelotti recently defended his decision not to select Neymar for the national team.

He needs to get in better shape to be able to help the national team and to be able to give his best in a World Championship, said Ancelotti.
