The SHL (Sweden’s top ice hockey league) game between Rögle and HV71 was even, physical and heated.

The players got into heated arguments a couple of times during the match, with a few other tense exchanges as well.

Rögle’s Tinus Luc Koblar refused to shake hands with the opposing players after the final whistle and says HV71’s Nikola Pasic was the reason.

He calls my mom a whore. I get extremely angry about it. That’s not something I want to hear. I will stand up for my mom. If it happens again, I will drop the gloves, says Koblar, adding:

He’s skating around on the ice, trying to play tough. He’s a little... I don’t know if I should say the word on TV, but it starts with an “f” anyway. He has to be able to stand up for himself.

Pasic denies the accusation to Expressen.

I never called his mother that. I never said those exact words.

Pasic elaborates, saying that Koblar is not making things up, but that harsh words were exchanged:

Yes, but not those words. It wasn’t meant to be that personal.
