Calvin de Haan has played over 700 NHL matches for teams including New York Islanders, Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers. Now the 34-year-old is ready for Rögle.
"I have heard that Ängelholm is a small town, but that hockey is the biggest thing there. I have watched some YouTube videos from Rögles home matches and it is obviously very passionate fans.", says the Canadian in a statement.
de Haan is expected to join the team next week and the contract is written for one season.
Rögle starts the SHL season away against Färjestad on Saturday.
