Despite a dream start with an early 2–0 lead, Rögle could not extend their advantage in the final series or ignite hope for a Swedish championship gold medal.
"In general, Skellefteå has been better than us this series, but we gave ourselves a chance. I think they got a cheap penalty and our box play, which has been fantastic, didn't manage to shut them down," he says of Skellefteå's quick recovery via two goals on the power play.
Rögle has lost three Swedish Championship final series since 2021 - but hope is there.
"It's only a matter of time before we win. Many will stay, and I think we'll get a lot of strong new acquisitions."
