The Ängelholm team thus reduced the SM quarterfinal series to 2–3 in matches.
"We had the rebounds with us. It was tight, but it flowed away with a lot of PP (power play) at the end," says Rögle captain Anton Bengtsson to TV4.
Färjestad received 14 two-minute suspensions, ten of which were in the final period, including two for referee protests.
"It's entirely on me, I get a little too frustrated and notice that it's contagious," says team captain Linus Johansson.
Rögle's Daniel Zaar and Filip Johansson each scored two goals.
Färjestad has not made it past the quarterfinals in the playoffs since 2022 when they won the Swedish Championship gold medal.
The sixth quarterfinal match will be played in Karlstad on Friday.
