The International Handball Federation (IHF) announced on Thursday its nominations for the award for the world's best young player 2025.
Nikola Roganovic was nominated along with two other European Championship stars, the Faroe Islands' Óli Mittún and Portugal's Francisco Costa.
Left-back Roganovic has been successful so far in the home European Championship and has scored 18 goals, twelve of which were penalties, in the opening group stage.
The IHF award for the world's best young player has previously been awarded twice, Aftonbladet wrote. Elias Ellefsen á Skipagøtu of the Faroe Islands received the award in 2023, and German Renars Ucsins was awarded it in 2024.
