The alarm about the incident came at 7 p.m., and around the same time it became clear that a person in a loader had been trapped in rubble deep in the mine. The person was reported to be able to speak when rescue services and mining personnel began digging through the rubble.
At 00:25 the person was dug out.
It has gone very well. The person is now on his way to the hospital by helicopter, says Karl Groves from the rescue service.
The person was able to get out of the cab on his own. Those working were surprised when the person suddenly appeared.
The extent of the damage is unknown.
