Recently, many influential representatives from Swedish business have portrayed proposals for higher taxes, primarily a reinstated wealth tax that V and MP want to see, as a threat to the Swedish economy.
"That representatives from the Swedish Business Association are spreading such scare tactics is deeply irresponsible. That capital and populist nationalism are currently forming a united front is shameful and risks fundamentally damaging our democracy," writes Robert Weil, founder of the investment company Proventus, in DN Kulturdebatt.
He writes that he has been "shocked by the indirect but hardly hidden attacks of recent weeks against the Centre Party and the Social Democrats", which he says are growth-oriented parties.
