Riyadh’s Kingdom Centre Closes Offices After Repeated Attacks on the City

Office space in one of the tallest skyscrapers in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, is being partially closed after repeated attacks on the city.

Employees in office spaces at the Saudi landmark Kingdom Centre will no longer work on site in the 302-metre-high skyscraper.

They are being asked to work remotely until further notice, according to the skyscraper’s office management.

“Please refrain from visiting the offices during this period,” management wrote in an email seen by AFP.

However, the shopping centre on the lowest floors of the building’s 99-storey structure will remain open.

The Iran-backed Houthi movement in Yemen has escalated its attacks on Saudi Arabia in recent weeks, including attacks on the capital, Riyadh.
