Four points now separate Premier League leaders Arsenal from their closest rivals Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Because while Villa took another victory on Sunday, beating Newcastle 2-0 away, Arsenal suffered only their third loss of the season - their first at home.
When Mikel Merino equalized to make it 2–2 from a corner in the final minutes, the home crowd thought at least one point was secured. It turned out to be nil.
A few minutes later, Matheus Cunha was given free rein in the attacking half of the pitch, and the Brazilian scored the winning goal from distance to make it 3–2 to United.
Viktor Gyökeres started on the bench for Arsenal, but was substituted in the second half.
