The former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who resigned last year, returns to the American investment bank Goldman Sachs, reports Financial Times.

Sunak was the Conservative Party's leader when he resigned after a landslide victory for the Labour Party in the British parliamentary election last year. He was early in his career employed by Goldman Sachs, as an analyst.

He is officially welcomed in a written statement by Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon on Tuesday. The main task for Sunak at Goldman Sachs will now be to guide customers in geopolitical and economic issues, according to the newspaper.
