According to several media outlets, protesters have blocked the roads to and from the stadium, while a number of people have tried to storm the gates to get into the match.
The situation in Mexico has been tense. Many have tried to use the championship as an opportunity to protest against the authorities. Among them are teachers and workers in the transport industry who say wages should be increased.
