Rihanna releases her first new song in three years. "Friend of mine" is part of the soundtrack to the Smurf movie "Smurfs movie", according to NME, and can be listened to from Friday, May 16.
This is the first music Rihanna releases since "Lift me up" in 2022, which was the soundtrack to the film "Black Panther: Wakanda forever".
Her latest album was "Anti" from 2016, and she has long been working on its successor. Earlier this year, she said that the new album would neither sound commercial nor easy-listening.
The artist recently revealed that she and rapper Asap Rocky are expecting their third child.
