Rheinmetall shares rise after better-than-expected second-quarter results

The company's operating profit amounted to EUR 562 million, compared with market expectations of EUR 409 million. At the same time, the company's order backlog amounted to more than EUR 80 billion.

Rheinmetall's shares have fallen 30 percent this year after a sharp rise last year. Over a five-year period, the shares have risen by more than 1,200 percent.
