The film takes place from the 1960s to 1988, several years before the allegations became public. That's why it's not addressed in the film, says Colman Domingo, who plays Jackson's father Joe Jackson in "Michael."
Domingo said the film leaves open the possibility that the allegations could be addressed in a sequel.
"There could be another movie that might cover other things that happened afterwards. This movie is about Michael's upbringing, how he found his own voice and became a solo artist. That's all I have to say about it," Domingo told the American television program "Today."
