The alarm came at 21.30 on Sunday after an alarm from several people. At 23.00, the rescue service had found the person in distress.
The person is localized and is on a ledge, said Mats Streer, duty officer at the rescue service, to the newspaper on Sunday evening.
The person in distress had suffered a foot injury and the rescue service tried during the night to get down to the distressed man.
There is a height difference of 15 meters, it's not entirely simple, of course. The plan is first and foremost to pull him up and secondly to take him in another direction and try to drive out with some vehicle, said Mats Streer.
At 01.00, the rescue service finally managed to get the man out of the limestone quarry. He has now been taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
