Russian captain faces re-arrest request over suspected false document on bulk carrier Caffa

If he objects to this, a re-arrest hearing will be held and the Russian embassy has requested to have staff present.

But senior prosecutor Adrien Combier-Hogg opposes that request for the parts of the hearing held behind closed doors.

It is the court's decision, of course, but I don't think it is appropriate.

The Swedish Transport Agency has found serious safety deficiencies on board. The tanker Sea Owl I is also being held by Swedish authorities outside Trelleborg, near Caffa. The ship's captain is also in custody.

Both ships are suspected of having sailed under a false flag.
