The American financiers are in discussions with Chelsea's majority owner Clearlake Capital about selling their shares, according to sources to the FT.

Last week, Walter unexpectedly sold the NBA club Los Angeles Lakers less than a year after he bought the team.
According to Forbes, companies linked to Walter are being investigated for fraud by US federal prosecutors.
