According to the British newspaper, it happened when Infantino was secretary general of the European Football Association (Uefa).
Uefa's then-president Michel Platini is said to have confronted Infantino, who has been married to Leena al Ashqar since 2001 and has four children with her, about the relationship, and the decision was then made that she would leave her job.
The Telegraph writes that the woman received the equivalent of 1.9 million kronor, which also included an education at a business school. She also received a 320,000 kronor increase in salary and went from an administrative role at Uefa to one in the organisation's management.
Fifa and Gianni Infantino deny the allegations.
