According to the British newspaper, it happened when Infantino was general secretary of the European Football Association (Uefa). The woman was promoted several times in a short period and given a higher salary. Uefa's then-president Michel Platini then confronted Infantino about the relationship, and the decision was made to have her leave the job.

The Telegraph writes that the woman received the equivalent of 1.9 million kronor, which also included an education at a business school. She also received a 320,000 kronor salary increase and went from an administrative role at Uefa to one in the organisation's management.

Fifa and Gianni Infantino deny the allegations.
