A 50-year-old woman is sentenced to three years and six months in prison for repeated serious child rapes, reports SVT News Helsingborg.
The victim was a close relative, a boy who was only six years old when he started being subjected to abuse, and this continued until he was 13 years old.
The prosecutor had requested a longer sentence, but the Helsingborg District Court took into account that the woman has a mild mental developmental disorder. Several of the crimes were also committed when the penalty scale for this type of crime was not the same as today.
