Rennes' home match against Greek side Olympiakos in the Europa League has been moved up a day and will be played on November 4, the European football association Uefa has announced.
The reason is that French unions have called a general strike on November 5. According to French authorities, it will not be possible to ensure normal security procedures around the Europa League match unless it is moved.
The wave of protests in France has had major consequences for the country's sports. Several matches in the top football leagues have also been moved.
