The French vehicle concern Renault is entering as a 100-percent owner of the company Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd (RNAIPL). Prior to the transaction, Nissan is a 51-percent owner of RNAIPL.
Nissan will continue to collaborate with RNAIPL despite stepping down as an owner.
The transaction must be approved by the authorities and is expected to be completed in the summer, the companies report.
Renault and Nissan will simultaneously continue to share ownership of the company Renault Nissan Technology & Business Center India (RNTBCI), where Nissan is a 49-percent owner and Renault a 51-percent owner.
According to the agreement, Nissan will simultaneously be able to waive its commitment to invest in the company Ampere.
Renault confirms its full-year forecast for 2025 in connection with the update on the strategic partnership with Nissan.
