The coffin with the body was received around 9pm Swedish time by the Red Cross, which in turn transferred it to Israeli forces, the Israeli military confirms.
Hamas, which is labeled a terrorist organization, states that the body was found earlier on Friday.
Of the 28 dead hostages to be handed over under the ceasefire agreement with Israel, the remains of 23 have now been recovered. The process is taking time as many of the bodies are buried under rubble in bombed-out Gaza.
