All schools will be closed for ten days, says a representative of the local department. According to a source, the schools will be closed "due to the tensions at the border and the potential conflict".

On Thursday, India reported the seventh consecutive night of gunfire across the line dividing the area between the countries. The tensions between the two nuclear powers have increased since 26 people were killed in a massacre on April 22 in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir.

The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke late on Wednesday with representatives of the two countries, and he urged Pakistani officials to "cooperate in the investigation of this ruthless attack" and "encouraged India to work with Pakistan to de-escalate tensions and maintain peace", says his spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
