The derby matches between AIK and Djurgården, which will decide which team plays in SHL next season, are surrounded by several security measures, according to Björn Wettergren.
It's always an extra push when AIK and Djurgården meet, but it's being taken to a new level now.
One of the measures is that several of the top referees from the HockeyAllsvenskan have been removed from the final series.
I don't want to comment on the selections or individual names due to various security factors. There are some who won't be refereeing, and it's not for sporting reasons, that's all I can say, says Wettergren.
The reason is an external threat.
It's extremely sad. I can't say exactly what I feel because it won't be possible to publish, but it's obviously distressing. It will become clear who won't be able to referee these matches, I don't want to say who just now, but it's despicable that they can't be there due to their safety.
The first HockeyAllsvenskan final match is played on Wednesday, where Djurgården is the home team.
