The Polish video referees Pawel Malec and Daniel Stefański are suspended after the blunder at Strawberry arena on Tuesday.
It was then that Alexander Isak had a goal incorrectly disallowed for offside in Sweden's big win over Azerbaijan, 6–0.
Now the referees have been suspended from refereeing in the Polish league for an indefinite period, reports Polish TVP Sport.
They will not be allowed to referee any international matches until the end of the year either.
Alexander Isak was furious afterwards:
I don't think I've ever experienced anything like this at this level when I've been involved. You've seen a lot of mistakes, but this one was pretty rough. You get a bit annoyed. You draw a line at completely the wrong pass, said Isak.
Uefa acknowledged the mistake on Wednesday and the referees may face consequences from there as well.
