The assistant referee Ludvig Lundgren had to interrupt the SHL qualifying match between HV71 and Modo with an injury after about five minutes into the first period.
Lundgren got caught in a tackle between HV's Tommi Tikka and Modo's Tyler Benson shortly after the home team made it 1–0.
Lundgren was able to get up himself after the incident. According to TV4's commentators and reporters on site in Jönköping, he suffered a blow to the jaw and has had to visit the hospital.
The match will be completed with three referees.
